First Steps - Autonomous Learning for Immigrants
-
Program for general adult education Grundtvig
Project number: 229517-CP-1-2006-1-GR-GRUNDTVIG-G11
Running time: October 2007 to September 2009
Iberika Sprachschule took part in an international educational project from 2007 until 2009 that was conducted according to the Socrates / Grundtvig standards promoted by European commission. Iberika participated in the "First Steps" project with universities, NGOs, publishers and other institutions from Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey.
-
In this project, two countries (an EU member country and a candidate country) compiled collective learning material with which immigrants from the candidate country could prepare for immigration to the respective EU member country. Iberika generated learning material together with TÖMER, the foreign language center at the University of Ankara in Turkey.
-
The material presents the German language and German culture with numerous Turkish explanations in such a way that even an absolute beginner can work with it. The learning packet includes a phrase book, a grammar book, a history book and a cultural book, as well as an audio CD. The material is ideally suited for Turkish immigrants who would like to prepare for their immigration to Germany independently, or for those who wish to improve their integration into German society.

The “First Steps” learning packet is available from Iberika for 9,90 Euro (including shipping and tax). If you are interested in making a purchase please contact Jacqueline van Eenennaam: projects@iberika.de
