Erasmus + is the new European Commission funding programme for education, training, youth and sport, replacing the Lifelong Learning and Youth in Action programmes from January 2014. It aims to give people the chance to undertake training and work experience and to volunteer in other European countries.
The programme also supports transnational partnerships between actors and institutions for education, training and youth in order to enable knowledge exchange, foster cooperation and bridge skills gaps at a European level. It aims to promote non-formal education, mobility, innovation and capacity building.
